Behind the capture:
This shot was the result of a bit of curiosity and patience. I had always admired the hills behind Aviemore, imagining the incredible views they must offer. On this particular day, with the autumn colours in full bloom and a hint of snow on the peaks, I knew I had a chance to capture something special. Armed with my telephoto lens, I hiked up just in time for golden hour, hoping to catch the light just right. The scene that unfolded was even more stunning than I had anticipated—the warm light brought out the rich autumn tones, while the distant snow-capped mountains added a touch of grandeur.
It was one of those rare moments where everything came together perfectly, and I’m grateful to share this shot with you.
